Currently drawing on and from the lands of the Gadigal people, I endeavour to use predominantly biodegradable materials as well as repurposed industrial waste to examine the connection between body and place. My practice includes techniques from sculpture, encaustic painting and traditional drawing methods to explore materiality, the origins and resting places of objects and bodies, human resonance with exterior matter, and theories of bereavement and environmental grief. For me, image and object-production are a personal statement of presence and the present.
